This is a completely character driven movie with a lot of interesting characters and situations. This is my kind of movie, so I'm hesitant to tell everyone to rush out to see it. It's not a mass appeal kind of movie and will depend if you can get into it. I did. I'm a Kevin Spacey (LA Confidential, Unusual Suspects) fan and he is one of the best at bringing a character to life. He shines among an interesting cast. The movie has some perverted themes that really do cross the line, but, they are interesting. The chief characters are a mom (Annette Benning), dad (Kevin Spacey), their 16 year old daughter, the daughter's cheerleading friend, a family next door with an 18 year old boy and a military dad. The themes are drugs, sex and rock and roll. : )
