Anna and the King is much like an adult Disney movie and the story is quite similar to a Disney movie called The King and I.  Anna is based on the diary of a real woman, however, not a Rogers and Hammerstien musical, which gives the movie credibility.  Also, like Disney, the movie is very elegant, sweet and uplifting and focuses on the redeeming values of the people.  It's a nice change of pace from other movies of the day.  

There is nothing special about it, it's simply a nice movie to go see.
